A small midwestern city-center on the rise, you might even say a renaissance, is a hard sell when so many locals think it sucks. So, yeah, we threw all that shit back at everyone and built a campaign that served realness. Downtown Cedar Rapids Sucks became the talk of the region literally exploding on social media and making its way to statewide newspapers and television newscasts. The video earned a 2019 Upper Midwest Emmy and 2019 Golden Davey. Organic Social and PR Metrics Engagement – 309,506 Total media reach – 19 million (not bad for a metro population of only 250,000)
